• How to use the App (Step 3 - Set up Trial)

    Key features to Use JIRA Integration App by IntegrateCloud.

    App has 4 tabs “Create Issue”, “Link Issue”, “Notify” & “Ticket”.




    A. Create Issue.

     

    Step 01. User must migrate to a Ticket Page or must open a New Ticket.

    There on extreme right side user will be able to see “INTEGRATECLOUD FRESHDESK-JIRA INTEGRATION APP”


    Step 02. When user clicks on the Create Issue button it loads the JIRA Project Name and Issue Type.


    Step 03. Based on the selection it will load all the JIRA fields like System fields (Summary, Description etc.…).


    User can scroll down to see the Custom Fields created & add the relevant data in it. 

    Click on the Create Issue button at the bottom of the page when the data is added.

     

    Step 04. By clicking on Create Issue button the issue will be created & the JIRA Ticket Number will be displayed below the Crate Issue button on the same page.


    User can click on the JIRA ticket number to open JIRA Ticket.


    B. Links Issue: - : This button allows you to link an existing JIRA Ticket. It can be linked to one or multiple JIRA issues. 


    Step 01. User has to only enter the JIRA Ticket Number.

    Step 02. Once the issue is linked user shall receive a message “Freshdesk ticket successfully linked to Jira issue key”.


    Step 03. User can verify the Linked Issue Keys in the app.


    C. Notify JIRA Issue: - This button allows the user to send notifications to all the Linked JIRA Issues.

     

    Step 01. When User clicks on Notify Issue it redirects to notify Issue Page where user can type its message.


    Step 02. By clicking on the Notify button user get a message “JIRA Ticket Notified Successfully.”

    Step 03. User can verify the Notify message in the JIRA Ticket Comments log.




    D. Tickets: - This button shall display all the Freshdesk Ticket & its corresponding JIRA Tickets. 

    When the Users click on JIRA Ticket Id or Freshdesk Ticket Id user will be redirected to that Ticket Id .

  • Install Freshdesk App by IntegrateCloud. (Step 2- Setup Trial)....

    Step 1. Login into your Freshdesk Account.



    Step 2. Navigate to Admin Menu - - - > Helpdesk Productivity - - - - -> Apps.



    Step 3. Click on Custom Apps - - - > Get More Apps.


    Step 4. Type “IntegrateCloud Freshdesk-JIRA integration App” in the search option.


    Click on Install Button.

    Step 5. As Users clicks on Install button user will be redirected to login page where user needs to add JIRA & Freshdesk Details & validate.


    For E.g.: - JIRA URL: - https://integratecloud.atlassian.net/

    IntegrateCloud is the company name here.

    JIRA User Name: - Is the Email id which user uses to login in JIRA.

    JIRA Password: - Is the password which user uses for login in JIRA Account.

    Sometimes customers might get error while entering JIRA User Name and Password. The other alternative way is to generate a JIRA API token and use it in the JIRA authentication page of the JIRA app:

     Below are the steps to generate an API token

    Once you create the token below put the email (ABC@yourcompany.com) of your JIRA account and the token in the password text box.

    Create an API token.

    Create an API token from your Atlassian account:

    1. Log in to https://id.atlassian.com.
    2. Click API tokens, then Create API token.
    3. Use Copy to clipboard, and paste the token to your script, or elsewhere:


    For E.g.:- https://sotiriszegiannis.freshdesk.com/a/dashboard/default

    The above is user Freshdesk link then

    Freshdesk Domain: - sotiriszegiannis


    For Freshdesk API Key: - As below.

    Step A. Login into your Freshdesk Account.

    Click on the Right side Icon - - - - -> Profile Settings.



    Step B. On Right Side of the Page user can see “Your API Key”.


    That the Key user will use above to validate

    After Clicking on Validation if details are correct User will get message as “App validated successfully. Click on install to install the app.” Click the Install Button

    *The Credentials user is going to use to validate in above step is going to be used. No further configurations will be required.  


    Step 6. After the installation is completed user will be able to see the Install App.

    The JIRA integration for Freshdesk supports both on-demand and on-premise variants and supports all versions of JIRA.


    Installation Procedure:

    • Go on to your Admin page in Freshdesk. 
    • Under Helpdesk Productivity click on Apps.
    • Click on "Get More Apps". Select IntegrateCloud Freshdesk JIRA and click on Install to go to your app configuration page.

    1. Log into your Freshdesk account and navigate to 'Admin'.


    2. Locate the 'Marketplace' under 'Apps' , and look for 'IntegrateCloud Freshdesk JIRA Integration App.


    3. Enter your JIRA credentials and Freshdesk subdomain, token ' then click 'validate'.

    5. Now go to any of Freshdesk ticket to create,link your JIRA issues.

    The JIRA Integration App by IntegrateCloud, allows users to create JIRA issues right inside the Freshdesk tickets. It also allows you to link existing Freshdesk tickets to an existing JIRA issue. In addition to this, this integration enables agents to notify the JIRA team, by sending comments inside Freshdesk Support. 

    The App has 4 tabs, 'Create Issue', 'Link Issue', 'Notify' & 'Tickets'.
    -Create Issue: When clicked on, the Create Issue tab loads the JIRA project, JIRA Issue type and based on the selection it will load all the JIRA fields like reporter, assignee custom fields. The User can make a selection and click on 'Create Issue' which would create an issue in JIRA and then display the corresponding JIRA Id in the App. 
    -Link Issue: This tab allows you to link an existing Freshdesk Ticket to one or multiple JIRA issues. 
    -Notify: This tab allows a user to send notifications to the JIRA team which would show up as a comment in JIRA. 
    -Tickets: This tab shows you all the linked tickets between Freshdesk and JIRA.
