• How to Review in zendesk marketplace( zendesk-DevOps)

    Hi,


    Please find below steps to review zendesk-DevOps app from zendesk marketplace.

    1) Click on here  https://www.zendesk.com/apps/support/integratecloud-connector-for-vsts/  and its redirects to zendesk marketplace.

    2) click on reviews as shown below

    3) click on sign in to review as shown below

    4) once signed  it will show the 5 stars rating  and comment section,please fill and submit it.

  • Update Zendesk Credentials in the VSTS App

    Whenever you dont see the attachments or the description of Zendesk getting populated in the App it means the Zendesk credentials that were used in the setup has expired or changed.Follow these steps to update the same:

    1.Generate Zendesk Api token using the following steps

    To generate an API token

    1. Click the Admin icon () in the sidebar, then select Channels > API.
    2. Click the Settings tab, and make sure Token Access is enabled.
    3. Click the button to the right of Active API Tokens.
    4. Enter a description under API Token Description as IntegrateCloud VSTS app The token is generated, and displayed for you:

    5. Copy the token and store it in a safe place.We will need later.

    6. Now go to the VSTS app and click on the gear icon and click on Zendesk credentials


    7. Once you click on the Zendesk credentials you will see the Zendesk credentials page.Enter your email in the following format abcemail@youremail.com/token and in the password put the token you copied

    In the App we have 3 Options.

    1. New Work Items which contains Bug, Epic, Feature and Task.
    2. Link to Work Item.
    3. Notify.
    1. How to create Bug.

    Similarly user can create Epic, Feature and Task also.


    2. Link New Item.

    Select Project and Work Items from the drop down options, then Click on Link.

    3. Notify.

    Select Project and Work Items from the dropdown options, Write the message that has to be sent then Click on Send.

    How to Setup Zendesk VSTS App by IntegrateCloud

    Step 1. Login to Zendesk Account.

    Step 2. Click on Views.

    Step 3. Open a Ticket.

    Step 4. Authenticate Zendesk User Name and Password.

    Step 5. Authenticate VSTS Account.

    Step 6. After Authentication user can see the App.



  • Install App by IntegrateCloud (Step 3 - Setup Trial)

    Step A. Login to your Zendesk Account.

    Step B. Click on Admin Menu.

    Step C. Click on Manage - - -> Upload Private App to upload and install your private app in your instance of Zendesk Support.

    Step D. Enter the App Name & Zip File & Click Upload.

    Step E. Click on Upload button.

    Step F. Click on Install button.

    Step G. Once the installation is complete you can see the App in Manage.

    Step H. Please follow below instructions to enable API Access by using Username and Password.

    1. Login to Zendesk using admin credentials.

    1. Select API under Channels tab and under settings table please check Password Access enable or not. If not enable please enable it. 


    As you are using VSTS App stop here go back the App & enter your ZenDesk User Name & Password in the App.

  • Azure DevOps (VSTS) Token Creation (Step 2 – Setup Trial)

    For VSTS (Azure DevOps) Token: — As below.

    In order to use the VSTS (Azure DevOps) app on Zendesk user need to create a token (password) for each user that user need to grant access to your VSTS (Azure DevOps) Account.

    Step 1. Clicking on the User Icon button on your VSTS  (Azure DevOps) account as shown below:

    Step 2. User must navigate to the Personal Access Tokens menu.

    Step 3. Click on  New Token button as show below:


    Step 4: Next step is to set the token name, expiration time and the VSTS (Azure DevOps) account that the app will use to impersonate the access. Token name can be set whatever makes more sense to you. Is good to set the expiration date to something long, like a year, if you don’t wish to repeat the process very often.


    Step 5: Click on Show all scopes to display all the scopes.

    Step 6. Finally User need to select the minimum scopes in order to make full use of the app. Select the following permissions:-

          a. Project & Team ( Read only)

          b. User Profile (Read Only)

          c. Work Items (Read, Read & Write)

    Step 7: Once you select the Permissions click on Create to create the token.

    Step 8. Once the token has been created User need to save the token somewhere locally on computer in order to use it later during authorization inside the Integration App.

    Step 9: Now you can use this token the Authenticate the token in VSTS (Azure DevOps) Apps for authentication.
